Megaworld Corporation won the Best Developer title – its third in succession – at the 2018 gala dinner of the 6th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards, presented by Kohler, held on Friday (11 May 2018) at the Fairmont Makati ballroom.
The Dr Andrew Tan-led becomes the first company in the Philippines to win the coveted honour for three consecutive years. It earned a total of six golden trophies, including two new township honours, as well as the Special Recognition in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for affiliate Empire East.
“This award is for all the hardworking men and women of Megaworld Corporation and our subsidiaries,” said Kevin Tan, senior vice president at Megaworld.
SM Keppel Land Inc. made a grand slam by winning in eight categories – the most wins for any developer this year – including Best Retail Development, Best Office Development (Manila), Best Mixed Use Development and Best Green Development for the revamped The Podium complex in Ortigas Centre.
Notable winners include best boutique developer ArthaLand Corporation, and multiple awardees AppleOne Mactan and Grand Land, and the tandem of Canyon Estates Incorporated/G2 Global Incorporated each won an award.
Robbie Antonio, founder and CEO of Revolution Precrafted – the Philippines’ first unicorn startup – was honoured by PropertyGuru as the Philippines Real Estate Personality of the Year. Antonio’s firm has recently signed up with Megaworld Corporation to supply prefabricated designer construction materials for a township project.
