Art Basel CELEBS Start The Party Early!

By Jose Lambiet, GossipExtra.com, for SouthFloridaReporter.com, Nov. 29, 2015 – MIAMI BEACH — It’s that time of year: The art world and a bustle of celebrities are set to descend on our southern shores for the uber in-crowd love-fest Art Basel.

But this time around, the biggest celebrities can’t even wait for the actual event, which runs Dec. 3 to Dec. 6.

They’re starting their parties early.

Maybe they should rename it pARTy Basel?

Unless you’re a super cool kid, you may not be able to get into most of these parties.

But then Art Basel is actually supposed to be about the art, now isn’t it?

On Tuesday, before Art Basel even opens, actress Hilary Swank (Boys Don’t CryMillion Dollar Baby) is scheduled to host a private party with famed celeb photographer Bruce Weber at the Delano hotel for DuJourMagazine.

Sylvester Stallone will be hosting a a party at the former Versace Mansion on the same night.

And Miami Heat star Amar’e Stoudemire will be leading a talk on fashion and art along with art collector Robbie Antonio at the W South Beach.

Then Wednesday, Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody will be showing off his own paintings in show called “Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Handguns” at Lulu Laboratorium.

On Basel’s opening day, Dec. 3, Eva Longoria will co-host the launch of Ricardo Barroso Interiors at Casa Tua.

Alicia Keys will be performing at her husband Swizz Beatz‘s three-day Untameable Houseparty.

And Friday, actress Katie Holmes (Batman Begins, Woman in Gold) will host Ocean Drives Art of the Party at A-Rod‘s old Miami Beach estate.

Later in the week DMX and Wiz Khalifa will also lend their talents to South Beach.

Russell Simmons will be hosting the 6th Annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale Party along withDanny Simmons and Rosario Dawson at the Nautilus Hotel. CiaraTK Wonder and Cipriana Quann are supposed to be there.

And Paris Hilton will do her annual stint at Wall nightclub.

Because nothing says art like Paris Hilton!
