Revolution Precrafted, a homegrown supplier of prefabricated structures, announced its entry into Puerto Rico, its ninth international market.
The company said it had partnered with real estate firm Grupo Cacho of Puerto Rico to supply over 2,000 residential villas on the offshore island of Vieques and in a property near Boqueron Bay Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
“This new venture represents a significant step as we strive to do our part to help revive the tourism infrastructure and help rebuild Puerto Rico. We want to address the pressing concern on the lack of housing units in Vieques and the surrounding islands, Robbie Antonio, founder and CEO of Revolution Precrafted, said in a statement.
Robbie Antonio said the projects would be implemented in two phases.
For the initial phase, he said Revolution Precrafted and Grupo Cacho had agreed to build 27 mid-range and luxury residential units on a projected 4.2-hectare property along the state road in Vieques.
The houses will range from 200 to 250 square meters, standing on 1,000 square meter lots. These houses will be built across the W Retreat Hotel in Vieques and will have a total cost of $13.5 million.
The next phase will cover the rest of the homes near Boqueron Bay.
These will be two to three-bedroom villas with an average cost of $250,000.
Revolution Precrafted has been on an expansion spree, bagging over $6.63 billion worth of projects over the last six months.
This included the $3.2-billion partnership with Seven Tides for “The World Islands” in Dubai.
In the Philippines, it partnered with Century Limitless Corp. for the $1.1-billion Batulao Artscapes in Nasugbu, Batangas, the $750-million Revolution Flavorscapes in Mexico, Pampanga and the $125-million Puerto Azul residential project.
UNStudio — the dutch architecture practice led by ben van berkel — has designed a mobile structure conceived as a place of rest, retreat, and mindfulness. the project forms part of the revolution precrafted pavilion series, a collection of structures whose wide variety of functions are designed to complement existing spaces. constructed from strands of 100% recyclable high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the project was designed and developed digitally, before being handwoven by highly skilled craftsmen.
titled ‘ellipsicoon’, the UNStudio-designed pavilion is a detached, secluded space for solitary moments of rest, reading, contemplation, or even a cocoon-like theater for conversation and communication. the structure’s curved sides taper inwards as they rise, with the rounded openings blurring the boundary between internal and external space. inside, a sunken seating area follows the fluid contours of the space.
‘I have long been interested in exploring spaces which extend function to replace the reality of the everyday with the potential for more nuanced, reflective experiences,’ explains ben van berkel, founder and principal architect of UNStudio.‘the ellipsicoon offers a place of temporary disengagement, where the practicalities, duties and interruptions of daily life can momentarily fade and the imagination can take over.’

Revolution Precrafted to supply over 2,000 houses to two locations in Puerto RicoNEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, May 21, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Revolution Precrafted, one of the strongest property-tech companies in the world, is expanding into its 9th international market, as it signs an agreement with Grupo Cacho of Puerto Rico to supply over 2,000 residential villas in Vieques and on another prime location on a 212-hectare near the world famous Boqueron Bay Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
This will help plug the deficit in the number of available housing units in the hurricane-hit Caribbean territory.
“We want to address the pressing concern of the lack of housing units in Vieques and the surrounding islands, said Robbie Antonio, Founder and CEO of Revolution Precrafted.
Puerto Rico is an island nation located in the northeastern portion of the Caribbean Sea, and is a commonwealth of the United States. It is primarily known for its white beaches and the El Yunque natural forest. In 2017, Hurricane Maria plunged the nation and its 3.4 million residents into a housing crisis. Estimates from Puerto Rico’s housing agency estimates that as many as 300,000 houses damages, with about 70,000 of them destroyed.
The Puerto Rico undertaking will be implemented in two phases. Revolution Precrafted and Grupo Cacho agreed to build 27 mid-range and luxury residential units on a projected 4.2-hectare property in Vieques. The houses will range from 200 to 250 square meters, standing on 1,000 square meter lots. These houses will be built across the W Retreat Hotel in Vieques, Antonio revealed, and will have a total cost of $13.5 Million.
The bigger bulk of the partnership would start towards the first quarter of 2019.
“This phase will cover the construction of about 2,000 homes on a projected 212-hectare near the world famous Boqueron Bay in Puerto Rico. These will be 2 to 3-bedroom villas measuring 150 square meters, standing on an average lot size of 600 square meters,” Antonio explained.
The residential villas will have an average cost of $250,000 and will take three years to complete.
For his part, Cacho said there is also an option to increase additional units depending on market demand. He is confident that the additional homes will help stabilize the supply of houses in Puerto Rico.
“This is crucial following the devastation brought about by Hurricane Maria. In our own way, we want to ensure that the people of Puerto Rico will have access to more housing options,” Cacho added.
Vieques is known for its breathtaking beaches, wild horses and bioluminescent bay. Meanwhile, IPuerto Rico, is one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean basin. Tourism accounts for 10 percent of the country’s gross domestic product, and tourism receipts reach $7Billion each year for the country.
Over the past six months, it has bagged over $6.63 Billion worth of big tickets projects including the $3.2 Billion partnership with Seven Tide, for “The World Islands” in Dubai, and the $1.2 Billion Okkyin project in Myanmar with KT Group. Last month, it signed a $300 million dealership agreement with Novo Development Ltd. to build at least 1,000 homes in the Caribbean nations of Trinidad and Tibago, Guyana, Jamaica and the Bahamas. It also landed a deal to build 85 luxury resort villas in Okinawa, Japan.
In the Philippines, it partnered with Century Limitless Corporation for the $1.1 Billion Batulao Artscapes in Nasugbu Batangas, the $750 Million Revolution Flavorscapes in Mexico, Pampanga and the $125 Million Puerto Azul residential project.
Meanwhile, Grupo Cacho, a trailblazer in residential, hotel and commercial development, has over $1B worth of projects built and at various exciting new projects in inventory set to be completed in the next 5 years. Martineau Bay Resort in Vieques, a luxury hotel and villa development completed in 2001, later sold and rebranded as the first Caribbean W. Hotel, is one of the company’s flagship projects, an icon in Puerto Rico’s tourism industry.

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, April 13, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Robbie Antonio, Founder and CEO of unicorn property-tech startup Revolution Precrafted has been chosen as part of BuiltWorld’s first-ever Mavericks Report: “25 Pioneers Who’ve Transformed The Built Industry,” a recognition of the most influential movers and shakers in the fields of global architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) and re-industry (RE)
BuiltWorld is a global online resource for players in the AEC and RE industries.
The prestigious accolade puts Antonio alongside some of the most esteemed luminaries in real estate, venture finance, architecture/design, construction, engineering and software solutions. These include Elon Musk, Founder of Tesla, Pritzer-award winner Frank Ghery and American unicorn founders Adam Neumann of Wework and Michael Marks of Katerra, among others.
“We are humbled by this citation from BuiltWorld. We feel so honored to be part of such esteemed individuals who have helped transform their respective industries, and helped create a better, more modern world,” said Antonio, the creator of Revolution Precrafted.
Revolution Precrafted is a company that manufactures, supplies and ships limited edition, design driven prefabricated homes, pavilions and other related structures. The company has partnered with 73 of the world’s most preeminent architects, designers and artists from around the world including Zaha Hadid, Jean Nouvel, and Christian de Portzamparc, among others.
“In order to disrupt the landscape, you have to be more innovative and you have to take more risks. Creating luxury prefabricated homes was a big challenge because before the company, people don’t really associate prefabricated homes and structures to quality and luxury. But we saw the opportunity to create something different and we took the risk. The payoff has been quite rewarding,” Antonio added.
Since its inception in 2015, Revolution Precrafted has since become the fastest company to reach startup status in Southeast Asia, valued at $1Billion.
It has bagged close to $6B worth of projects including $1.1 Billion Batulao Artscapes in Nasugbu Batangas and to the $350 Million Revolution Flavorscapes project in Mexico, Pampanga.
In March, the company announced its $3.2 partnership with Seven Tides to build condominiums, apartments and hotel villas on nine islands at “The World” project in Dubai. The company also signed a deal with Myanmar’s KT Group for the supply of homes and retail structures for the $1.2 Billion Okkyin mixed development project in Yangon.
Antonio and the others mavericks were recognized at the recent BuiltWorld’s Summit in Chicago this April 12. The BuiltWorld Summit is a gathering of 200 executives, presidents and decision makers in the AEC and RE industries. The summit is a venue to discuss the crucial topics such as challenges, successes and emerging technologies for the construction.
REVOLUTION Precrafted Inc., the precast property development company led by the Antonio family, said it signed an agreement with real-estate firm Grupo Cacho of Puerto Rico to supply over 2,000 residential villas on the offshore island of Vieques and on another prime location of a 212-hectare area near the Boqueron Bay Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico is the company’s ninth international market. The project is expected to help plug the deficit in the number of available housing units in the hurricane-hit Caribbean territory.
“This new venture represents a significant step as we strive to do our part to help revive the tourism infrastructure and help rebuild Puerto Rico. We want to address the pressing concern of the lack of housing units in Vieques and the surrounding islands,” said Jose Roberto R. Antonio, CEO of Revolution Precrafted.
Antonio, also managing director of listed firm Century Properties Group Inc., added the Puerto Rico project would be implemented in two phases.
For the initial phase, he said the two companies agreed to build a total of 27 mid-range and luxury residential units on a 4.2-hectare property along the state road in Vieques.
The houses will range from 200 square meters to 250 sq m, standing on 1,000-sq-m lots. These houses will be built across the W Retreat Hotel in Vieques, and will have a total cost of $13.5 million, the company said. Meanwhile, the bigger bulk of the partnership would start toward the first quarter of 2019.
“This phase will cover the construction of about 2,000 homes on a projected 212-hectare site near the world-famous Boqueron Bay in Puerto Rico. These will be two- to three-bedroom villas measuring 150 sq m, standing on an average lot size of 600 sq m,” Antonio said.
The residential villas will have an average cost of $250,000 and will take three years to complete.
For his part, Cacho said there is also an option to increase additional units depending on market demand. The company is confident the additional homes will help stabilize the supply of houses in Puerto Rico.
Vieques, the small Puerto Rican island located 13 kilometers east of the mainland, is known for its beaches and wild horses, and is considered one of the main attractions in Puerto Rico, a US territory.
“We are eager to maximize this new business opportunity and look forward to playing an integral role in forming a thriving, spirited island; rebuilding is our only north at this time,” Antonio said.
“Philippine-based unicorn startup Revolution Precrafted has sealed a $300-million exclusive deal in the Caribbean for the supply of its prefabricated units,” the firm said in a release to the Daily Business News.
“The initial franchise deal with NOVO Development involves the supply of at least 1,000 units in the region that would create sales revenues of as much as $300 million. Revolution Precrafted offers exclusive tie-ups in over 195 countries that allow its partners to use its designs and units for a fee of $125,000 to $2 million, depending on the size of each country’s economy,” the firm tells MHProNews.
Bloomberg filed this video report.

An even larger deal may be pending, per sources to MHProNews.
Do the math. These aren’t cheaper, low end housing. It’s a 300k per home price tag. Revolution – as long-time Daily Business News readers know – specializes in ‘designer’ homes by high end architects and artists.
True to his startup’s name – Revolution Precrafted – Robbie Antonio believes that he’s starting a revolution with his property business.
His startup mixes prefab homes and luxury branding to revolutionize the real estate industry – not just in the Philippines, but also around the world.
Its innovativeness has made it the first startup in the Philippines to achieve ‘unicorn’ status, a term used to describe a company that has a valuation of US$1 billion.
According to TechinAsia, it is one of the fastest companies to achieve this billion-dollar status in the Southeast region.
Then in October 2017, a fresh round of funding led by Singaporean venture capital firm K2 Global raised an undisclosed amount that brought the startup over the billion-dollar mark.
Real Estate Runs In His Blood

His father – Jose E.B. Antonio – owns Century Properties and shook up the real estate market by selling an aspirational lifestyle to Filipinos, and played to their penchant for celebrities and branded names.

As the managing director, Robbie is responsible for spearheading the company’s direction and branded collaborations like the Trump Tower in Manila, a Paris Hilton-branded collection of condos, Milano Resides by Versace, Acqua Livingstone by Missoni Home, and the world’s first Forbes Tower.
“I’ve done about US$2.1 billion worth of branded deals for the family business,” Robbie said in an interview with Tech Wire Asia.
He added that this hands-on experience has made him “understand the pain points in real estate”, and working on these glitzy projects is what led him to start up his own company.
Established in December 2015, Revolution Precrafted is a manifestation of Robbie’s dream to fuse his experience in constructing stunning, exclusive buildings with his deep love for contemporary art.
Robbie is actually an avid art collector who has been recognised as one of the top collectors in the world by Artnet in 2016, placed alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Bernard Arnault, Paul Allen, and other point-one percenters.
According to him, this obsession with art is what led him to develop branded homes for the middle market and ultimately want to make designer homes accessible to more people.
“My inspiration for the project came from my own passion and experience in art collection. I wanted to make architecture collectible – but at an accessible price point,” Robbie said in an interview with Huffington Post.
“Revolution preserves the exclusivity of art collection and by introducing prefabricated technology, it expands the potential of ownership.”
Making Designer Homes More Accessible
Revolution Precrafted sells highly customisable prefabricated properties such as modular homes, condominiums, pavilions, pop-up retail stores, and fitness centres.
Design Miami 2015 – Asstant Fania Castro Photographer Mike Butler
Developed by world-renowned architects and designers like the late Zaha Hadid, David Salle, Tom Dixon, and Marcel Wanders, the homes are priced at an average of US$120,000.
Prefabricated homes, often referred to as prefab homes or simply prefabs, are specialist dwelling types of prefabricated building, which are manufactured off-site in advance, usually in standard sections that can be easily shipped and assembled.
This means that you don’t have to go through the hassle of hiring a whole team of contractors, manufacturers or builders, and also save on the astronomical fees of commissioning a famous architect.
The only instructions Robbie gave his designers was to make a structure from 50 to 250 square meters with components that could fit in a shipping container.
Through his ties with quality fabricators here and abroad, Revolution can also complete the developments faster.
A 50-square-meter home can be done in as fast as 90 days as opposed to the usual two years, since most of the components have already been fabricated.
Robbie told Esquire PH that he has “worked with 13 Pritzker Prize architects, possibly more than any human being in the world.”
“I love doing this! It’s not just about the valuation. It’s [about] creating something so inherently different.”
“We have intellectual property over all these names – you can get them at a ridiculously high price and wait a number of years, or get it from us in three months at a much cheaper price.”
In a separate interview with CoBo, Robbie said that he has a penchant for “[working] with the best people in the world”.
Learning from the best is a “privilege” and he wants to “impart that to the world”, he added.

This sort of branded collaboration has been done before in retail, such as Rodarte for Target and Balmain for H&M, but it’s definitely a novel concept in homes and architectures.
According to an interview with Tech Wire Asia, such branding can help increase the development’s sale price compared to competitors who might have a superior location, and it also tends to sell faster.
By leveraging the star power of these big names, Revolution successfully drives up the value of his buildings and simultaneously eliminates the idea that prefabricated homes are ‘cheap’.
But beyond the high valuation, Robbie said that such branded collaborations are great because they churn out designs that are “inherently different.”
“I’ve been [linking up architects with different celebrities] for well over a decade already, so [I’ve] understood how we could enhance the liveability and saleability of a product,” he told Tech Wire Asia.
“The value proposition of [Revolution] is that you can go to Lenny Kravitz – if you can – pay him a million dollars, wait two to three years of your life – or do it through me for an affordable price.”
“We’re the only branded housing company in the world.”
He admitted that keeping prices low has been a challenge – to “[create] something couture at Zara prices, while still keeping to the DNA of the architects and designers, who are used to blowing through sky-high budgets.”
Not Your Regular Real Estate Company

According to Robbie, his startup is greatly inspired by Airbnb and he aims to disrupt the real estate industry through lower price points and its technological innovations.
He admires Airbnb’s simple model of having no land and zero inventory, a global footprint, and its ability to use technology in a disruptive way.
And that’s exactly what Robbie wants to achieve with his own company.
“We are the complete antithesis of the traditional real estate company. We cater to the world. We do not have to be site-specific, buy land, take out construction loans, or have inventory,” he told DealstreetAsia.
“Our highly differentiated business model provides the best in architectural design globally, at lower costs and shorter timelines, through the ingenious application of technological innovation.”
With tech as the very fiber of its DNA, Revolution uses advanced robotics to create the house in order to reduce the errors and speed up the process.
Unlike traditional players, it’s very low on capital expenditures as it doesn’t own land; it’s not forced to sell in particular sites (it ships homes globally); and it gets its cash flow in three months versus the typical three to four years’ turnover time for brick and mortar firms.
“I would like to believe we have fundamentally transformed the real estate/property development sector by introducing affordability, accessibility, simplicity, convenience, and sustainability to an otherwise intimidating, complicated and generally expensive industry,” he told Forbes
When asked what he thinks are the contributing factor(s) of his startup’s success, he said that it’s “predicated on addressing the most common pain points of home buyers – speed, quality, cost, design, and complexity of the process.”
“Our fabricators can complete the developments faster. A home can be completed in three months as opposed to the usual two years as most of the components have already been fabricated, ready for assembly at the job site.”
“Moreover, instead of wasting six months to a year on design, our clients can choose from the works of the most revered award-winning architects and artists.”
Essentially, we democratize access to branded design of living spaces by combining world-renowned designers with the latest advances in construction technology.
Moving forward, Robbie said that he is confident that his startup will be the global leader in designer fabricated structures, and eventually be the “Ikea of homebuilding”.
Although its main markets lie in Southeast Asia, the startup is “making moves to penetrate the American, Middle-Eastern and European markets.”
By this year, it aims to have at least four to five offices within Southeast Asia.
Globally, they plan on having offices in 20 countries – UAE, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, USA, Mexico, UK, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy.
“And the list just keeps on growing. Global domination is our end goal,” Robbie told DealStreetAsia.
Sharing a piece of advice to fellow entrepreneurs, Robbie said that the real problem with the local startup community is the “lack of funding“.
If you do not have access to capital in the Philippines, be resourceful and go abroad. There are other countries like Malaysia or Indonesia, where there are more early-stage VC funds than the Philippines. Go pitch to them.
“Passion is not enough; obsession is key. You have to be extremely ambitious. Believe in your vision and see it through. Giving up should never be an option,” he added.

Robbie Antonio, founder and chief executive officer of Revolution Precrafted, the fastest company to reach first unicorn startup status in Southeast Asia, will be honoured with the 2018 Philippines Real Estate Personality of the Year Award at the annual PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards at the Fairmont Hotel in Makati.
The PropertyGuruReal Estate Personality of the Year Award is only bestowed to a top-quality developer who is recognised in the real estate sector for his or her achievements and has made a significant impact in the Asian real estate sector.
“I am honoured to accept this award from one of the most prestigious organisations in the industry. I would like to share this to the rest of the Revolution Precrafted team, who continue to challenge the status quo with groundbreaking projects and designs,” Antonio added.
Antonio spearheaded the establishment of Revolution Precrafted, a startup company that aimed to “democratise design” by creating design-forward, limited edition precrafted homes, pavilions and other related structures, and making them more accessible to the masses through more competitive costs.
Since the company’s inception in December 2015, Revolution Precrafted has worked with over 70 prominent global architects, artists, and designers, such as Pritzker Prize Architects Zaha Hadid, Philip Johnson Alan Ritchie, and Jean Nouvel. Robbie Antonio spearheaded the most number of branded real estate developments after partnering with some of the world’s leading brands such as Daniel Libeskind, Armani Casa, yoo by Philippe Starck, The Trump Company, and Versace Home.
Revolution Precrafted has also bagged more than USD6.5 billion worth of Philippine-based and global property projects. This includes the 85-unit Luxury Hotel project in Okinawa, Japan; and the USD300 million dealership partnership in the Caribbean with Novo Development. It also partnered with KT Group for the USD1.2 billion Okkyin City Project in Myanmar, and with Seven Tides for the USD3.2 billion “The World Islands” project in Dubai.
In the Philippines, the company is building the USD750 million Flavorscapes project in Mexico, Pampanga; and the USD1.1 billion Batulao Artscapes, the world’s first livable art park situated in Nasugbu, Batangas. Outside of the Property Sector, Antonio also gained world renown for his passion for the arts. It also partnered with property giant Megaworld Corporation for the supply of retail pop-ups.
Antonio joins the ranks of some of the most important pillars in the Philippine real estate industry. Other previous winners include former Ayala Land CEO Antonio T. Aquino, Megaworld Corp. Chairman Andrew L. Tan, Net Group Co-president Ramon Fernando Rufino, Vista Land Chairman Manuel B. Villar, Robinsons Land Corp. President Frederick D. Go and Century Properties Chairman Jose E.B. Antonio.
What motivated you to establish Revolution Precrafted?
I want to innovate and pioneer. My passion and experience in art collection greatly inspired me to establish Revolution Precrafted. Having a precrafted home or property is like art collecting.
One of my primary goals is to democratise design and make world-class architecture and structures attainable and accessible for all people. I want to create cutting-edge and cost-efficient precrafted livable spaces in partnership with world’s renowned architects who are also passionate about art.
What do you consider your most significant achievements to Philippine real estate so far?
I’ve been doing real estate for over a dozen years. Founding Revolution Precrafted is one of my most significant contributions to the industry. As a startup, the company had been steadly growing since its inception in 2015. We are the fastest company to reach unicorn status in Southeast Asia. We have already bagged USD6.5 billion worth of property projects locally and internationally. We are so proud that we have sealed deals with international companies; and we are honored to be working with over 70 global architects, artists, and designers to produce exclusive out-of-the-box designs and structures.
I am also honored to receive international accolade from Builtworlds and to be considered as one of the “25 Pioneers Who’ve Transformed the Built Industry” alongside Elon Musk, founder of Tesla. I highly appreciate these awards for recognizing my efforts and contributions to the industry.
How would you address the biggest hurdles in Philippine real estate through your position as founder of a unicorn startup?
Prefabrication technology never stops advancing. As an international PropTech company, we have to continuously adapt to new ideas, trends, and concepts to stay ahead of the competition. I, along with our team of designers and engineers, make it a point to never stay static and to stay open to emerging developments in the real estate sector.
Another hurdle in Philippine real estate is access to world-class design. When people hear the term “world-class,” they immediately associate the term with being expensive or inaccessible. It is Revolution Precrafted’s goal to make high-end design available to a much wider customer range.
Our company never stops reaching out to top companies and individuals in their respective fields of art, design, and architecture. We want to keep our roster of designers as diverse as possible.
Do you consider yourself a game change in the local property sector?
Yes. We currently have two local projects that are considered to be the first of its kind – Batulao Artscapes and Revolution Flavorscapes. Both developments will offer its residents and guests a completely different living experience from what they are normally used to. By establishing industry firsts, it changes the perspective of customers on what they can expect in a real estate development.
Revolution Precrafted will continue bringing unique and innovative developments locally and internationally.
