New Attraction: Food Unites Pampanga Community

by Tonette Orejas, Philippine Daily Inquirer

MEXICO, Pampanga — Of the more than 200 residential subdivisions that are being built around the Clark Freeport in Pampanga province and the New Clark City in Tarlac province, the 140-hectare Revolution Flavorscapes inside The Lakeshore here may stand out for a very “delicious” reason. – Robbie Antonio

This upcoming community will promote food as a unifying element for Mexico, through restaurants with international cuisines, museums and events organized by and for chefs and celebrities, said Brian Mangio, managing director of Central Country Estate Inc. (CCEI).

Museums

Mangio led the groundbreaking ceremonies here on Tuesday for the Revolution Flavorscapes project.

CCEI and Revolution Precrafted, a global company that produces prefabricated materials, have partnered for the P3.5-billion project in this province known for its many gastronomic delights.

Designed as the “World’s First Livable Food Park,” Revolution Flavorscapes will have 14,000 houses interspersed with a Museum of Ice Cream, a Museum of Candy, a Chocolate Gallery, and a microbrewery inside a beer garden.

Floating restaurant

Also being developed at this community are a floating restaurant, a floating cinema and an amphitheater on the banks of The Lakeshore’s artificial lake.

Robbie Antonio, Revolution Precrafted founder, said the construction of 600 homes will begin in the first three months of 2019.

With a workforce of 200 real estate brokers, the project’s 30 ha have been reserved by clients since February, he said.

The price of a 45-square-meter property, originally sold for P1.3 million-P5 million, has increased by 20 percent.

“A community united by food is very Filipino,” Mangio said.
